Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

AudioEdge collects the following information:

• Account Data: name, email, password hash
• Usage Data: files uploaded, processing times, features used
• Audio Files: music you upload for stem separation
• Session Data: login times, IP address, user agent
• Payment Data: transaction history (processed securely via Square)
• Sharing Data: distribution attestations, captions, visibility choices, destinations, and publish status when you choose to share

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide stem separation and audio analysis services
• Process payments and manage your account
• Improve AudioEdge through analytics (anonymized)
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security threats
• Communicate with you about service updates

3. Data Security

Your data is protected through:

• HTTPS encryption for all connections
• Password hashing with industry-standard algorithms
• Secure database storage (Neon PostgreSQL)
• Regular security audits and monitoring

4. Third-Party Services

AudioEdge uses:

• Replicate: stem separation using read-only access to one source audio object that expires after 30 minutes
• Square: payment processing
• Vercel: application hosting and private object storage
• Neon: PostgreSQL database hosting
• Resend: transactional account email
• Upstash: rate limiting and abuse prevention

These services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them.

5. Audio Retention and Sharing

Uploaded tracks, generated stems, and saved recordings remain available until you delete your account. They are stored as private objects and delivered through ownership-checked routes. If you intentionally enable a jam-session share link, anyone possessing that link can play that shared session until sharing is disabled or the account is deleted.

When you deliberately use device sharing or a future connected social destination, AudioEdge records your separate distribution attestation and draft metadata. Social accounts are not connected in the current release, and AudioEdge does not store social access or refresh tokens in application tables. A file you publish through another service is governed by that service; deleting it from AudioEdge does not delete a copy already posted elsewhere.

Account deletion removes active audio objects, social draft and publish-attempt records, and associated application records. Limited financial, fraud-prevention, security, or legal records may be retained where required. Encrypted backup copies expire through normal provider rotation and are not restored to an active customer account.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of non-essential communications
• Request data portability

8. Policy Changes

AudioEdge may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via email. Continued use indicates acceptance.
